A 12V Submersible dirty water pump is the perfect companion for work crews operating in locations without power. This Gorman-Rupp utility dirty water pump, called the SE0.5B3-E.33 12V, is available from Authorised Australian distributor, Hydro Innovations, and can provide flow rates to 150 litres per minute and heads to 7m.

The 12V dirty water pump is designed for use with a truck battery as a back-up unit in the event of power failure, or for use in remote locations where electricity is not available. It has a 250 watt 12V DC motor and is supplied with 9m of cable with battery clips [like car jumper leads]. It is easy to manage, having a built-in carry handle, and weighing only 15.8kg.

The SE0.5B3-E.33 12V has a cast aluminium casing with 38mm discharge and a cast iron impeller capable of handling dirty water with solids to 9mm. A built-in steel strainer prevents larger solids from entering the pump. The power cable has an on/off switch and the dirty water pump is capable of operating for approximately 45 minutes on a fully charged 55 amp-hour battery.

The dirty water pump is thermal overload protected and has a Buna-N mechanical seal with carbon/ceramic faces. Hydro Innovations say that contractors, road crews, “telco” crews and anyone else required to work in dry pits, ditches or trenches may find this little pump an ideal addition to their tool chest.
