Our pumps serve your petroleum needs whilst offering safer, more cost-effective solutions.
Our products offer safer, more cost effective tailored solutions in the following areas:
Petroleum Wastewater & Greywater pumps
Grey water and wastewater pumping with EDUR Torque-Flow Series pumps. Efficiently pump solids and effluent.
- handle solids to 80mm
- Handle temperatures from -40oC to 140oC
- Handle Viscosity to 60cSt
Aerating Lagoons is made safer and more cost-effective by Venturi-Aeration units. Reduce odours, strip CO2 and increase pH, reducing chemical use and eliminate the need for cranes or boats to access equipment.
- Reduce DO
- no chemicals
- works fast
Lubricant pumping with Gorman-Rupp’s rotary gear pumps. Positive displacement pumps that offer smooth flow and constant pressure, with materials that can handle abrasive media and high temperatures.
- Viscosities to 440,000 cSt
- Pressures to 20.7 bar (300 psi)
- Flows to 2200 litres per minute
Transportation of Fuel
Gorman-Rupp are world leaders in fuel transfer pumping technologies. With self-priming pumps capable of reliably lifting from below ground tanks to loading and off-loading tankers as well as “Shield-A-Spark” engine-driven units. Their vapour and air handling capabilities eliminate the risk of vapour lock, even when moving suction hoses from one tanker to another.
- Suction line stripping
- Reliable rugged construction
Transportation of LPG
EDUR Pumps are versatile and efficient for the safe and reliable operation in the production or transportation of Liquified Gas. They offer a wide operating range, with flows to 44 litres per second and pressures to 20 bar. They also offer Low NPSH, ATEX certification, low noise emission and a long service life.
- German built
- Electric or Hydraulic motor drive
- Magnetic coupling available
100 Roto-Prime Pumps selected for reliability and smoother operations at Manila Wharf
The main oil storage wharf in Manila has approximately 100 pumps, used for filling road tankers directly from the bulk storage tanks.
The tanker trucks pull in and use a 4” hose for their required fuel.
There are 8 bays. Each truck takes about 20 minutes to fill. The pumps operate 24/7, 3 trucks per hour x 8 bays x 24 hours = more than 500 trucks per day.
As the bulk storage tanks drop to a low level, they switch across to another tank. Sometimes, this can let air into the suction lines. If a pump loses prime, the driver has to contact the operations team, maintenance attends to assess the inlet valves, bleed the line and re-prime the pump. This is a hugely time-consuming procedure and results in a queue of trucks about 500m down the street.
To stop this issue from occurring, Gorman-Rup Roto-Prime were selected 100% for the reliability of operation. If air gets in, it’s just expelled and the truck driver wouldn’t even know that it happened and took a minute longer to fill his truck.
Manila Wharf is running smoother than ever with truck congestion problems solved.
Pumps for the Petroleum Industry:
The EDUR range of Multistage Liquid Gas (LPG) pumps can deliver flows to 45 l/s and pressures to 14 bar (to go to 90 l/s and 40 bar in the not too distant future). These technically superior pumps deliver high efficiencies, low noise levels, low NPSH and reduced axial and radial forces. They also offer less wear than sliding vane pumps and higher efficiencies than side channel pumps. Pumps are ideal for transfer systems and for loading and unloading ships, rail cars, trucks etc.
Motors are 2 pole with IP55 enclosures, and insulation class F and conform to ATEX 94/9/EC. Advantages include:
- Nodular Cast Iron or All Stainless Steel construction
- Able to handle liquid-gas mixtures (outgassing)
- Flows to 45 l/s (soon to double)
- Heads to 23 bar (soon to go to 40 bar)
- Handle temperatures from -40oC to 110oC depending on model
- Balanced Single and double mechanical seals available as well as magnetic coupling
Motor options include:
- ATEX 112G EExe llT3
- ATEX 112G EExde llCT4
Certificates and Reports include:
- Declaration of conformity according 94/9/EC (ATEX)
- Gost-R Certification
- Test Certificate DIN EN 10204 – 2.2
- Acceptance Test Certificate DIN EN 10204 – 3.1
The Gorman-Rupp Roto-Prime range of self priming centrifugal pumps is specifically designed for pumping petroleum products, petrochemicals and solvents. The Roto-Prime fuel pump incorporates a variable capacity vane [priming] pump which quickly and automatically evacuates air and vapour from suction lines, making them ideal for loading, off-loading transports and stripping hoses.
- Ability to mount high and dry above the liquid source
- Eliminates vapour lock or air lock in suction lines
- Easy access for monitoring or service
The Gorman-Rupp 80 Series range of self priming centrifugal grey water are heavy duty 24/7, quick priming “work horses” for industry. With multi-vane impellers and a “straight-in” suction design, the 80 Series pumps deliver high efficiencies and quick positive self priming.
- Ability to mount high and dry above the wet well [not in it]
- Capital cost savings over wet well/ dry well constructions
- Low cost of ownership
- Greatly reduced OH&S issues
- Easy access for monitoring or service
