Units will come with a minimum standard specification, with almost unlimited customisation. The Lampo units are inclusive of a collapsible 9 metre tall lighting tower, with the potential to customise to illuminate larger areas. The Lampo units are able to be uniquely configured to suit individual needs and applications, including different size and type of pumps, different size compressors, and a variety of additional equipment designed to accommodate individual requirements.

The central components of the Lampo – the generator, VFD and lighting system are manufactured by quality equipment manufacturer, Euromacchine in Italy. They are housed in an acoustically rated enclosure constructed from powder-coated galvanised steel plates.
The Lampo emergency response unit are then mounted on an Australian heavy-duty built hot-dip galvanised double axle trailer and fitted with a self-priming Gorman-Rupp trash pump.
Further advantages include:
- Enables deployment of multiple pieces of equipment, using only one vehicle.
- Diesel-driven power generator complete with variable frequency drive [VFD] powers a lighting tower and a rugged and reliable Gorman-Rupp pump.
- The cleverly designed unit can light up a work area while operators set up the self-priming pump or operate numerous electric tools from the power generator.
- The VFD allows for soft starting electrical equipment, including the pump, and can vary the speeds of these machines to suit the duty at hand. While all this is happening, the compressor can be driving air nibblers, air-operated nail guns, wrenches or tyre inflators.
- The Lampo units also come standard with an air compressor, discharge hose reel, suction hoses and a robust mounted toolbox.

At their Morwell Waste Water Treatment Plant Gippsland Water have utilized 2 x Gorman Rupp Ultra V series 3” pumps as the inlet works pumps for the plant.
Since having the upgrade installed in Pump 1 on Tuesday 26/09/23, we have left Pump 1 as the duty pump and have not experienced any pump blockages.

The units are available in seven sizes. The smallest unit has an 11kVA power generator, 5.5kW VFD, 61,400 lumen lighting system, 6 litre compressor and Gorman-Rupp T2A60-B self-priming pump. The largest unit has a 100kVA power generator, 55kW VFD, 61,400 lumen lighting system, 24 litre compressor and Gorman-Rupp T8A60S-B self-priming pump.

Solids-Handling Impeller
The heavy-duty balanced, two-vane, semi-open ductile iron impellers provide maximum life. Pump-out vanes on the back shroud reduce foreign material build-up behind the impeller, minimising pressure on the seal and maximising bearing life.
Removable Cover Plate
All Ultra V series pumps have a large removable cover plate for accessing pump internals for the quick removal of blockages. Check valves, impellers and wear plates can also be replaced through this cover.
Replaceable Wear Plate
A replaceable wear plate has Gorman-Rupp’s patent-pending, self-cleaning design to ensure that debris is cleared away and does not collect on the impeller vanes. This innovative design reduces life cycle costs by minimising blockages.
Anti-Rotation Ribs
All Ultra V Series wastewater pumps come standard with anti-rotation ribs within the seal chamber area, reducing internal wear and maximising seal life
Patented External Shim-less Adjustment System
The shim-less cover plate adjustment allows for accurate maintenance of the clearance between the impeller and wear plate, without realigning belts, couplings or other drive components. Once adjustments have been made, the unique collar and adjusting screw maintains the clearance setting even if the cover plate is removed. Peak efficiency is maintained, while doubling the life of the impeller and wear plate. The life of the wear plate is maximised with the combination of the shim-less cover adjustment and the additional rotating assembly spacers.
Patented Cartridge Seal
The double-floating, self aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical seal is specifically designed for abrasive and/or trash handling applications. The silicon carbide faces and extra large seal oil chamber provide superior dry-run capability. The patented cartridge design also allows for accurate and easy installation.
Interchangeable Rotating Assembly
The Ultra V series pumps are designed with a removable rotating element. This assembly can be removed and replaced in minutes without disconnecting piping or disturbing motor alignment.
