High-Performance Super T Series Pumps for Wastewater Management
Gorman-Rupp T Series self-priming centrifugal pumps have been successfully pumping municipal and industrial wastewater for over 5 decades. These pumps have been the backbone of wastewater transfer at sewage treatment plants, food process plants and any industry where safe, low maintenance and efficient transfer of wastewater is important.
Over the past few years, with the introduction of wet-wipes and higher safety standards, the need for “choke-free” pumping has led to the development of pumps able to handle wipes, rags, rope, undigested hay and other stringy materials better.
For these applications, Gorman-Rupp has introduced two variations to the Super T Series range. “The Eradicator” and “Eradicator Plus” versions. See links below to these variants.

Gippsland Water
Municipality looks to Hydro Innovations to solve its wastewater challenge.
For nearly a year, the Moe Wastewater Treatment Plant struggled with fortnightly pump chokes that cost $27,000 in contractor fees and disrupted service for 22,000 residents. The existing submersible pumps were unable to handle modern ragging, creating an untenable cycle of expensive downtime and OH&S risks for the Gippsland Water engineering team.
Switching to a Gorman-Rupp Super T Series above-ground pump transformed the plant’s efficiency. The self-priming design moved maintenance out of the wet well, allowing a single operator to cleared potential blockages in minutes without heavy lifting equipment. This transition from submersible to above-ground technology eliminated the $2,700 monthly cleaning bill and provided a reliable, long-term solution for critical infrastructure.

Gorman-Rupp Super T Series self priming centrifugal pumps are capable of passing 76mm spherical solids [in 4” size and up] through all internal passages withing the pump (not just the impeller).

Solids-Handling Impeller
The heavy-duty balanced, two-vane, semi-open ductile iron impellers provide maximum life. Pump-out vanes on the back shroud reduce foreign material build-up behind the impeller, minimising pressure on the seal and maximising bearing life.
Patented Cartridge Seal
Gorman-Rupp’s double floating, self aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical seal is specifically designed for abrasive and/or trash handling applications. The silicon carbide faces and extra large seal oil chamber provide superior dry-run capability. The patented cartridge design also allows for accurate and easy installation.
Removable Rotating Assembly
Gorman-Rupp Super T series pumps are designed with a removable rotating element. This assembly can be removed and replaced in minutes without disconnecting piping or disturbing motor alignment.
Removable Cover Plate
A patented, lightweight [under 10kg] inspection cover allows for faster and safer access to the impeller without the need for a lifting device.
