Engine Driven Pump
The Gorman-Rupp engine driven pump is designed for applications which require high flow efficiency (even if heads are higher) and solids handling capability. Unlike the pressed aluminium housings with internal volutes, these Gorman-Rupp pumps are constructed of heavy duty sand cast aluminium components. Advantages include:
- Suction lifts to 7.6 metres
- Petrol engine or diesel drive
- 2”, 3” and 4” sizes available
- Handle large solids (up to 50mm for the 4” pump)
- Flows to 38 litres per second
- Heads to 30 metres
- Removable cover-plate to access pump internals for inspection and/or blockage removal
Engine Driven Pump – Performance
- Flows: 10 l/s – 100 l/s
- Heads: 5m – 100m (+)
- Solids: 76mm spheres + Stringy
- Size: 3″, 4″, 6″
- Priming: Guaranteed Re-Primer
- Application: Effluent to Trash and Sewage
Engine Driven Pump – Special Features
Heavy Duty Impeller
The 10 Series Gorman-Rupp pumps have heavily constructed two-vane semi-open impellers to handle heavy duty abrasive and or corrosive wastewater pump applications. Depending on the model, an engine driven pump will handle up to 75mm spherical solids and have “pump-out” vanes on the back of the impeller to reduce foreign material build-up around the seal area.
Multiple Seal Options
10 Series engine driven pumps are available with many seal options to meet the needs of each application. Gorman-Rupp pumps’ exclusive tungsten titanium carbide faced, double floating, self aligning, oil lubricated seals are recommended for all the tough jobs. Double mechanical grease seals or self-lubricated mechanical seals in various materials are also available for less demanding applications.
Removable Cover Plate
A large removable cover plate on the 10 Series engine driven pump allows quick and easy access to pump internals without needing to disconnect piping or drives. Blockages can be cleared quickly, and impeller, wear plate and seal can be readily accessed for inspection and service.
10 Series Gorman-Rupp pumps have replaceable wearplates which fasten to the cover plate and may be replaced in minutes. No expensive castings to replace.
