The Gorman-Rupp ES Base Mounted sewage pump stations are pre-engineered packaged units with one, two or more sewage pumps, motors, all valves, interconnecting piping and can be supplied with or without controls and liquid level control systems.

The sewage pumps in the station can either be Gorman-Rupp’s Super T or Ultra V Series sewage pumps. Flows to 250 l/s for a single pump can be achieved, and this can be expanded with self priming pumps, because only the suction line needs to be in the wet well [not whole pumps], so that 3 or more sewage pumps can be utilised. A variety of enclosures are available to house the sewage pump equipment.

Emergency bypass auto-start sewage pump units are designed to operate when mains power is unavailable because of storms or other forces. They are available with flow rates from 3 l/s through to 250 l/s, are diesel powered and mounted in a vandal resistant acoustic enclosure.

They have a completely independent level control system and take over when the main pumps in the station are unable to pump due to power failure, control panel failure, sewage pump failure or for any other reason.

Gorman-Rupp emergency auto-start sewage pump units are used instead of emergency power generation at sewage pump stations because of their versatility.

The Gorman-Rupp ES 200×200 is a low profile packaged sewage pump station with a specially designed fibreglass enclosure that is perfectly adapted to house all of the mechanical and electrical equipment for the complete station. The (two) sewage pumps in the station can either be Gorman-Rupp’s Super T or Ultra V Series sewage pumps.

The interior layout of the enclosures is designed to facilitate any service work that needs to be done on the sewape pumps or valves. Flows to 75 l/s for a single pump can be achieved, while the station sits on a footprint of 2.1m x 2.1m.

The Gorman-Rupp ES 210×310 is a low-silhouette packaged sewage pump station with a specially designed Quonset shaped fibreglass enclosure that is perfectly adapted to house all of the mechanical and electrical equipment for the complete station. A personnel access door allows for monitoring and the “roll-off” roof allows quick and easy access for repairs and maintenance.

The sewage pumps in the station can either be Gorman-Rupp’s Super T or Ultra V Series sewage pumps. Flows to 140 l/s for a single pump can be achieved, while the station sits on a footprint of 3.05m x 2.15m.

The Gorman-Rupp ES Auto-Start sewage pump stations are the same as any other self priming pump station, except they have an auxiliary combustion engine to drive one or more of the pumps in times of power outage. They are pre-engineered and factory tested packaged units with one, two or more sewage pumps. The motors, auxiliary engine/s, all the valves, interconnecting piping etc are all supplied as a package, inclusive of state-of-the-art purpose built controls and liquid level control systems.

The sewage pumps in the station can either be Gorman-Rupp’s Super T or Ultra V Series sewage pumps. Flows to 250 l/s for a single pump can be achieved, and this can be expanded when using self priming pumps, because only the suction line needs to be in the wet well [not whole pumps], so that 3 or more pumps can be utilised to deliver peak efficiencies when pumping ADWF [average dry weather flow] right through to peak wet weather flows. A variety of enclosures are available to house the pumping equipment.

The Gorman-Rupp Self Cleaning Sump (SCS) is a revolution in wastewater pump station wet well design. The SCS is an easy to install sloping collector pipe (fabricated from heavy duty HDPE) that is directly connected to the control manhole, and used in conjunction with Gorman-Rupp self priming sewage pumps.

The Self Cleaning Sump has been designed to replace the conventional cylindrical wet well and to remove the flaws associated with this current design. The negatives of the conventional design are considered to be the amount of intervention (number of personnel per call and the number of calls) required with these stations, the risks to operators associated with accessing the wet well for blockage removal and maintenance, and the longevity and reliability of equipment.

The aim of the SCS design is to:

  • Eliminate blockages caused by the build-up of rags and stringy matter
