Project Showcase: Emergency Night Intervention at a Water Control Substation

In July 2020, a municipality needed to divert the flow of a water supply line during an overnight operation. They needed to install one 600mm valve and one 800mm valve to deliver the required result. They deployed a “Lampo Emergency” unit to provide the needed support for the entire operation.

Almost unlimited customisation for virtually any emergency requirements.
The units are available in seven sizes. The smallest unit has an 11kVA power generator, 5.5kW VFD, 61,400 lumen lighting system, 6 litre compressor and Gorman-Rupp T2A60-B self-priming pump. The largest unit has a 100kVA power generator, 55kW VFD, 61,400 lumen lighting system, 24 litre compressor and Gorman-Rupp T8A60S-B self-priming pump.
Units will come with a minimum standard specification, with almost unlimited customisation. The Lampo units are inclusive of a collapsible 9 metre tall lighting tower, with the potential to customise to illuminate larger areas. The Lampo units are able to be uniquely configured to suit individual needs and applications, including different size and type of pumps, different size compressors, and a variety of additional equipment designed to accommodate individual requirements.

Solids-Handling Impeller
The heavy-duty balanced, two-vane, semi-open ductile iron impellers provide maximum life. Pump-out vanes on the back shroud reduce foreign material build-up behind the impeller, minimising pressure on the seal and maximising bearing life.
Patented Cartridge Seal
Gorman-Rupp’s double floating, self aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical seal is specifically designed for abrasive and/or trash handling applications. The silicon carbide faces and extra large seal oil chamber provide superior dry-run capability. The patented cartridge design also allows for accurate and easy installation.
Removable Rotating Assembly
Gorman-Rupp Super T series wastewater pumps are designed with a removable rotating element. This assembly can be removed and replaced in minutes without disconnecting piping or disturbing motor alignment.
Removable Cover Plate
All Super T series pumps have a large removable cover plate for accessing pump internals for the quick removal of blockages. Check valves, impellers and wear plates can also be replaced through this cover.
