Download the Brochure | Ask Our Team

Super T Series pumps now have several variants that either improve solids handling or efficiency. The Gorman-Rupp Super T Series self-priming centrifugal wastewater/sewage pump has been the world benchmark for this technology since 1963 (>50 years). They have been designed for economical, trouble-free operation, with superior solids handling capability and a large inspection cover to access pump internals for service or blockage removal.

Advantages include:

  • Self-Priming pump has the ability to mount high and dry above the wet well (not in it)
  • Low cost of ownership
  • Greatly reduced OH&S issues – no more working over water/heights/cranes/heavy swinging weights
  • Surface-mounted pumps with easy access for monitoring or service
  • Advanced safety features including pressure relief valve to protect operators
  • Improved maintenance features to greatly reduce maintenance time and costs, with removable rotating assembly
  • A variety of materials of construction to handle abrasive and/or corrosive fluids

Gorman-Rupp vs. Competitor Pump

Watch how Super-T Series pumps can handle the toughest applications

Industrial Pump Specialist Garry Grant explains the difference between Gorman-Rupp and the alternative pumps. Garry explains all the features and benefits and shows why they are the better option when choosing a pump.

With These Above ground pumps:

  • Installation and maintenance is simple and cost-effective
  • Only 1 operator is needed to maintain the pump
  • No wet well is needed

Submersible Pump vs. Above-Ground Pumps

Above-ground pumps is safer, easier to operate and maintain and are more cost-effective than a conventional submersible pump system.

With above ground pumps:

  • Installation and maintenance is simple and cost-effective
  • Only 1 operator is needed to maintain the pump
  • No wet well is needed

Food manufacturer looks to Hydro Innovations to solve its wastewater challenge.

Super-T-Series-best self-priming centrifugal pumpFeedback from the plant was “The Submersibles couldn’t pump against backpressure and wouldn’t allow us to change the design, but the Gorman Rupp units have allowed us to achieve that, and we now have no issues with our system”. – Mr. Paul Carter, Engineering Manager

Visy Packaging has a state-of the-art drink can manufacturing plant in Stapylton, Queensland. They employ over 50 people and produce export quality cans for local and overseas markets. They were however having chronic reliability issues with their submersible pumps. They had been trying to solve their issues for seven years when Mr Paul Carter [Engineering Manager – Beverage and Food Can] spoke to one of his contractors. This contractor suggested he look at our self-priming pumps, which had been successfully installed at the Pacific Fair shopping centre.

Special Features and Pump Benefits

One Operator, 2 Spanners, 10 minutes – Super T is Super Easy to maintain:

Solids-Handling Impeller

The heavy-duty balanced, two-vane, semi-open ductile iron impellers provide maximum life. Pump-out vanes on the back shroud reduce foreign material build-up behind the impeller, minimising pressure on the seal and maximising bearing life.

Patented Cartridge Seal

The double-floating, self aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical seal is specifically designed for abrasive and/or trash handling applications. The silicon carbide faces and extra large seal oil chamber provide superior dry-run capability. The patented cartridge design also allows for accurate and easy installation.

Removable Rotating Assembly

The Super T series pumps are designed with a removable rotating element. This assembly can be removed and replaced in minutes without disconnecting piping or disturbing motor alignment.

Removable Cover Plate

All Super T series pumps have a large removable cover plate for accessing pump internals for the quick removal of blockages. Check valves, impellers and wear plates can also be replaced through this cover.
